Message from the President

During my 10 year affiliation with the ISA Will-DuPage Board of Directors, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain an understanding of the value this organization provides to our instrumentation and automation community. I feel some of the success of this section is due to a right mix of industry, vendors/manufacturers, members, and geographic location. However, it takes much more than this combination to have a successful section. It also takes a commitment from numerous individuals to pull our section together. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank those individuals for their efforts.

First of all it’s important to thank the members of the ISA Will-DuPage Board of Directors who have selflessly donated their personal time to advance this organization. Our members spend endless hours coordinating and planning section meetings, tabletop shows, golf outings, webpages, advertising, mass mailings, financial reports, etc… These members are ultimately the engine that drives this organization. Without their dedication and commitment, this section would not exist.

It’s also necessary to acknowledge the many vendors and manufacturers who provide the financial support required to operate a section as large and successful as Will-DuPage. The support provided by these companies provides us with the operating capital required to run our organization as well as provide reduced cost meals at section meetings and funds to donate to worthwhile programs like the Joliet Junior College Process Control Instrumentation Technology program for lab equipment, scholarships, and student competitions.

And finally it’s important to acknowledge the many members and guest who support our section by attending our meetings and special events. I’m still amazed at the number of people who attend and participate in our meetings. The support provided by our members has been overwhelmingly positive.

Thank you again to everyone for supporting the ISA Will-DuPage Section. Together, I feel we have created an organization which is much more than a technical society.

If you have any comments or questions regarding the ISA Will-DuPage Section, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at president@isawilldupage.org or via our website https://isawilldupage.org/.

I’ll see you at the next meeting.
