Manufacturers of products from food & beverage to automobiles face a growing array of challenges including increasing competitive pressures, rising commodity costs, labor shortages, and product safety and quality regulations. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) enable manufacturers to gather and analyze production information to gain insight into their processes, allowing them to optimize plant operations. This presentation will explain the basic concepts of MES and its application in the manufacturing industry. Please join us to explore how MES can enhance manufacturing process productivity, efficiency and quality.
 
Mark is Director of Business Development at EN Automation. He has over forty years of automation experience in the energy, utility and food & beverage industries. He was formerly Vice President of the Automation and Electrical Design business units at EN Engineering and has also worked for Siemens and Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America. Mark is a member of ISA, the Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network and the Institute of Food Technologists. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois.
