Optimizing pH Analytical Measurements
The Top Ten list to avoid costly mistakes in the design and implementation of new or existing analytical measurement loops.
Join us on Tuesday May 23rd as we learn from Fred Kohlmann – Endress+Hauser who will discuss Optimizing pH Analytical Measurements.
This presentation is meant to help those who are looking to engineer the installation of a new pH loop, have a new loop ready for installation or are re-doing an existing loop. Whether a novice to the world of pH or a seasoned veteran, this is intended to be a helpful roadmap to a successful journey, hitting the most common road blocks.
Maybe you have heard past pH horror stories throughout chemical, food and water treatment plants. And yes, the stories are mostly true. If you haven’t heard any of these stories, maybe this list will keep you from adding your own story to the already toppling heap. If you are at all familiar with pH measurement, you probably know the horror stories, and maybe even have had your own experiences.
Fred Kohlmann joined Endress+Hauser in 2006 (having previously worked for Great Lakes Instruments and the Hach company), and is currently the Product Business Manager for Analytical Products. Since 1976, Mr. Kohlmann has been involved in engineering, design, service, marketing, and sales of analytical water quality and on-line process control instrumentation.
Mr. Kohlmann has taught accredited course work and authored numerous articles relating to pH, ORP and Conductivity measurements. Past publications include “What Is pH and How Is It Measured?”, a primer on the use of pH instrumentation, and “Electrical Conductivity Measurements” in the “Process/Industrial Instruments and Controls Handbook”, Fourth Edition, by McGraw Hill, Douglas M. Consadine Editor.
