We Are in Control: How to Specify a Control Valve presents an engineer’s perspective on the anatomy and theory of a control valve. Eric Lofland walks through the process of filling out a control valve datasheet and the vendor interactions that occur in the specification process, with particular emphasis on common design challenges and how to identify them early on.

Eric Lofland graduated with a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from Florida State University. Eric has worked as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with Ambitech Engineering Corporation for the past 7 years, where he provides instrumentation design and controls integration services to refineries and chemical plants. He specializes in materials and instrument specifications that interface with chemical processes.
