Gas Detection Systems
Join us in February as we learn from John Greivell – RAECO who will discuss Gas Detection Systems.
This presentation will cover designing, implementing and maintaining a gas detection system. It will start with an overview of gas detection including identifying and categorizing gas vapors, review of sensing technologies and identifying potential monitoring locations. There will be discussion on typical project goals and the implementation process to confirm project goals have been met. The presentation will conclude with a discussion on expectations for maintaining your gas detection system and how to utilize communication outputs to reduce total cost of ownership.
John has been involved in the Environmental, Health and Safety field since 1990, working in the areas of RCRA Remediation, Emergency Response, Confined Space Entry,  Site Specific Safety Plan development and the development of monitoring strategies for these types of projects.  Since 1996 he has lead RAECO LIC, LLC, a company specializing in industrial hygiene, environmental, process and safety monitoring and measuring technologies and systems.  He has been a guest lecturer at the UW System, and has given technical presentations for local and state
